chimera(under construction!)
the main point of interest within this project.
the specific thing that happened was that billions of individuals from various universes have been teleported to a specific dimension, due to a sadistic god getting bored and doing this for the heck of it. this lasted from early 2013 to late 2016 from our perspective, in our time.
the dimension mentioned is a dull grey all around, with the exception of the occasional thing native to other dimensions.
due to stuff intermingling with other dimensions, new things have been made that would have never happened in their native dimensions.
chimera
creatures that were artificially created by putting together body parts of various creatures across dimensions, including humans.
most of them were made by less morally-inclined mages trying to understand the biology of creatures from other dimensions. creation of chimera have been banned the month they were found out about due to the questionable methods in which the parts are obtained, either taking them from living specimens or from defiling a corpse of a sentient being. some results of the experiments are still alive.
homunculi
an artificially created human being.
unlike chimera, they aren't made from reanimated human remains, instead being made from synthetic organs, blood, flesh and skin. they exist as an attempt from mages to understand human anatomy and behaviors, but due to the low magic documentations of humans, they often come across as either unsettling and/or cute. either way, the ones who manage to survive try to come to terms with the nature of their being, often leading to positive in nature and/or short-lived lives. once the incident was over, they were sent to the mages as to not disrupt human normalsy.
magicians
the result of a human trying to directly harness magic.
humans don't have the evolutionary adaptations that mages have for them to handle a large amount of magic in their body, nor simple means of expelling excess magic from their bodies. magic is unfamiliar with human biology, reacting to the electricity in human nervous systems, causing erratic behaviour, even nerve and brain damage in severe cases. it also becomes addictive to the human (and not in the fun way!), frequently causing their condition to worsen. this often leads to the magician "cascading", with the magic inside them being cast all at once, ending their life, but not before it seems like everything has gone back to normal for them.
the minotaur
the result of magic and floran energy mixing.
a rampaging, animalistic, reality-bending collection of objects from various dimensions. it takes the body plan of a bull, even making sounds that a bull would by directly bending air to create the requirements for the sound to exist. the minotaur often creates straight paths out of the surrounding enviroment to make it easier for it to run once it manifests, though it is possible to wear it down, causing it to create exits. it can force the objects it uses to create itself with to change in order to make them better for a certain task.
